Destination weddings have a special energy about them. I never really know what to expect, other than a good time. Last September, I met up with some great people in Myrtle Beach. This group had me at the rehearsal, when the boys showed up in plastic animal pool floaties and shark tooth necklaces. Then Alli REALLY had me when she essentially gave me permission to execute any visions I had. That kind of trust is always so refreshing. Their decision to get married at the beautiful Litchfield Plantation was, I have to say, a super one. Although an hour long monsoon moved their outdoor ceremony indoors, spirits were still high and since Chris & Alli saw each other before the ceremony, we got all of their portraits done just in time. As a couple, I would call them perfect. Beautiful people with amazing personalities. Alli fits so perfectly into Chris’s arms and he’s always right there, willing to love her. I think I heard him say numerous variants of , “Just tell me what do do” and “Whatever you want” throughout the entire day. He even agreed to a day after session at 8am the next morning, which makes my photographer heart happy! It was an honor to meet Alli & Chris and be a part of such a beautiful weekend AND see one of my awesome 2009 couples for the first time since their wedding day! So fun. I honestly don’t have enough words…. just perfection.
