About a week and a half ago, I knocked visiting New York off my bucket list. My best friendtographer, Geni, ran off to live in Manhattan nearly a year ago and was so kind as to host me. We ventured all over the city, still not even seeing half of the sights. For anyone who hasn’t been to NYC, it’s exactly what you imagine it to be—- alive, over-populated and fabulous. While getting to see places I’ve only seen on TV my entire life was very exciting and girlfriend time was very much needed, my main purpose for flying out were these two awesome people— Diana & Roy, a couple in love and getting married next August. It was surreal to be skyping with them just a couple of months ago, then now traversing across Manhattan to Brooklyn for 5 hours. We started at Columbus Circle then headed to Central Park, which was beautiful. Fall leaves and interesting characters all over the place. Again, just what I imagined it to be. Diana & Roy schooled me on some history and all the while, effortlessly loved each other, making my job a cinch. Geni came along as well and several of the above photos are hers. After Central Park we took the subway back through the Financial District where they were filming the Dark Knight sequel right outside Geni’s apartment. We made it back out to South St. Seaport then onto the Brooklyn Bridge, finally ending at their apartment over the bridge in Brooklyn. We got to meet the newest addition to their family, Seemore Weiner, a mini dachshund who is known to steal hearts. Diana says he’s already much bigger now, but still not too big to fit in my bag and be temporarily “lost”. Diana & Roy, thank you SO much for spending the day with us, I can’t tell you how excited I am for your wedding next year!
