I’m having one of those moments where I just don’t know which direction to go with this. There are several, so we’ll see where it goes. Geni is my friend. She is one of my best friends. She is also a ridiculously talented photographer. The first time we met over coffee, we got scolded by a nearby scrooge because we’re apparently very excitable and we were talking too loud. I think that was a fitting inception of our friendship. Up’s & down’s & all over’s, my time with her has always been memorable. C.L. has been Geni’s “one” for a long time and things were about to get even more memorable. The morning we were to meet for photos, I got a voicemail from C.L. I literally screeched upon hearing his voice, because I was hoping it meant what I thought it meant. And it did— he had a plan. I was about to document a moment special for every couple. And geez, I was nervous. I had already been texting Geni that morning and I’m glad I got that out of the way, because after I had this valuable secret, I was sure anything I said was going to give it away. So I played it cool and let the moments unfold. Geni Bean, I love you friend and I’m beyond happy for you and C.L.– your perfect match. I will pray for endless years of happiness & fun and even though I’m losing you to another state, I know we’ll stay best friendtographers.
